Pilot X is written by Tom Merritt and published by Inkshares. His voice characterizations were amazing, and fit the writing's humor perfectly. I also want to give a huge shout-out to narrator Kevin T. There are so many nice people in the stories, and that seems a rare thing to me, in SF these days. One thing I really like, especially in the second book, is that most of the secondary characters Pilot X meets are good and decent people. There is real humor throughout the series, and I LOLd in many places in both books. Pilot X and Verity are wonderful together. ![]() ![]() More happens in the first book than the second, but the story-lines for book two are very interesting. It was all a bit confusing for me in the first few chapters of book 1, but once I caught on to the terminology/rhythms of the story and writing, I was totally charmed by the story and characters (the characters really grew on me throughout). I really loved these two books (the first in the series is Pilot X). ![]() ![]() Hobbes wrote that civil war and situations identified with a state of nature and the famous motto Bellum omnium contra omnes ("the war of all against all") could only be averted by strong central government. Written during the English Civil War (1642–1651), Leviathan argues for a social contract and rule by an absolute sovereign. ![]() Leviathan, published in 1651, concerns the structure of society and legitimate government, and is regarded as one of the earliest and most influential examples of social contract theory. His experience during a time of upheaval in England influenced his thoughts, which he captured in The Elements of Law, De Cive (On the Citizen), Behemoth, or The Long Parliament and his most famous work, Leviathan. The angst, steamy passion and heart-clenching emotion that Day put into the story kept mesmerised in the first few books, but having said that, I feel that their story could have been told in less books. But I will say that if you’ve read any of the books of this series, then you’ll know exactly what to expect in this one because it’s just more of the same. I’m not going to rehash the storyline, because if you’re a fan of the series you’ll know where these characters are at. I’ve been a fan of this series since Bared to You was first released, and I have followed Gideon and Eva’s intense and passionate romance across 5 books now, and though this one provided the happy ending that we all want for them, as a book it left me kind of underwhelmed. Finally! The finale to the Crossfire series. ![]() ![]() Joseph Lash Archive Eleanor Roosevelt Bauman Rare Books. ![]() Urn:oclc:35311930 Scandate 20100126195110 Scanner .
